A: If you requested special or extra items when you ordered, they will be added to your bill and the charge shows up separately from the initial charge.

A: Your driver works for delivery fees and your gratuities. They make every effort to earn your consideration through professionalism in appearance and demeanor, attention to detail while facilitating your delivery and transporting your food with care. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Drivers use their own vehicles, and gas, to deliver your food to your home or office.

Q: How far do you deliver?

A: We deliver to all local zip codes. We offer delivery to Catawba, Alexander, Caldwell, Burke, Iredell, Lincoln & Mcdowell counties.

Q: What type of payments do you accept?

A: We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. Prices on the website are displayed showing cash prices, electronic payments will incur a small fee.  Final total will be displayed on the final checkout screen, after you have selected your payment information, before you submit your order. We do not accept checks.

Q: Can we pay with multiple credit cards and cash on one order?

A: Yes, when going through the checkout process, you can select up to 5 payment methods per order.

Q: What is the delivery fee for a delivery from a restaurant on this site?

A: We charge a minimum $5.99 delivery fee, this is for the first 5 miles. If your delivery address is more than 5 miles from the restaurant, the delivery fee will be calculated by your distance to the restaurant.

Q: What is the delivery fee to deliver from a restaurant that is not in Lenoir, Morganton, Granite Falls or Hickory?

A: Neighboring city delivery fees begin at $5.99 for deliveries up to 5 miles from the restaurant. If you are in a neighboring city, and live more than 5 miles from the restaurant, the delivery fee will be calculated by your distance to the restaurant.

Q: Who calls the order into the restaurant?

A: Our customer service representatives will electronically transmit the orders into the restaurant so that it will be ready just as our driver arrives at the restaurant to pick up your order.

Q: How do I find out the delivery fee to my address?

A: From the main page of the website, enter your zip code, and complete address. Then as you select an item from a restaurant menu, the delivery fee will be calculated for that restaurant to your address. The delivery fee will vary based on your address and the restaurant that you choose.

Q: What happens if I am missing items from my order when it is delivered?

A: Call us within 30 minutes of delivery at 828-328-2433, so we may contact the restaurant about the shortage. Any credits will be based upon the restaurants decision. Our drivers do not open up containers to verify your food. We rely on the restaurant who is packaging your order to pack it correctly. If the restaurant decides to offer a credit, then we apply a credit to your account to be used on your next order, from any restaurant on your future order.

Q: Can I cancel my order after I have placed an order with The Delivery Chef?

A: Once you place your order with The Delivery Chef we strive to start on every order asap based off of order volume. Once your order has been transmitted to the restaurant we can not cancel your order, this is usually within 15 minutes of you placing your order. On special/rare occasions if we have already transmitted your order to the restaurant and the restaurant is willing to let us cancel the order with no charge, then we can cancel your order with no charge as well. The only way to try to cancel an order is to contact us via phone at 828-328-2433 within 15 minutes of placing your order with us.

Q: Can I place the gratuity on my credit card with my order?

A: Yes you may place the gratuity on your credit card, and the driver will receive the full gratuity amount. You may also tip the driver in cash.

Q: How far in advance can I place my delivery order?

A: You may place your delivery order up to 14 days in advance. We will aim to deliver your food within 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after your selected delivery time.
